Step-by-Step Instructions

Keep or export Expensify

Decide whether to keep Expensify for expense reports or switch to FiscalInsights' built-in expense tracking. If keeping Expensify, it integrates directly with FiscalInsights. If switching, export your expense reports and transaction history from Expensify's Settings > CSV Export.

Sign up

Create your FiscalInsights account at fiscalinsights.com. During onboarding, select "Adding accounting to Expensify" if keeping both tools, or "Replacing Expensify" if switching completely.

Connect Expensify

If keeping Expensify, go to Settings > Integrations in FiscalInsights and connect your Expensify account. Approved expense reports will automatically sync as categorized transactions in FiscalInsights. If you exported data, upload it through the Migration Center.

Add bank accounts

Connect your business bank accounts and credit cards. This gives you complete financial visibility beyond just expenses—income, transfers, loan payments, and all other transactions import automatically alongside your Expensify expenses.

Go live

You now have a complete accounting system. Use Expensify for receipt scanning and expense approvals, and FiscalInsights for the full financial picture including invoicing, P&L reports, cash flow forecasting, and tax preparation.
