How It Works

FiscalInsights posts financial notifications to your Microsoft Teams channel via webhook. Payment alerts, expense notifications, and daily summaries appear in your team's communication flow. The optional bot responds to simple queries like current cash balance or outstanding invoices.

How to Connect Microsoft Teams

1Navigate to Settings > Integrations and find Microsoft Teams
2Click "Connect Teams" and sign in with your Microsoft account
3Choose the Teams channel for financial notifications
4Select your notification preferences and alert thresholds
5Optionally enable the FiscalInsights bot for on-demand queries

For businesses running on Microsoft 365, the Teams integration brings FiscalInsights notifications into the communication tool your team already uses every day. Financial updates appear in your chosen channel alongside project discussions and team conversations.

The integration supports the same notification types as the Slack integration: payment received alerts, large expense detection, bill due date reminders, and daily financial digests. Configure thresholds to control what triggers a notification — for example, only alert for payments above $500 or expenses above $200.

The optional bot feature lets team members query financial data directly in Teams. Ask "What's our current cash balance?" or "Any overdue invoices?" and get an instant response. This is particularly useful for business owners who want quick financial checks without switching apps during their workday.
